Usability Analysis
Usability analysis offers a means of researching the user friendliness of an existing or planned internet presence. The analysis can be conducted in two different ways:
- Specially selected individuals, who fit the profile of a particular user group, are monitored in a laboratory style environment whilst carrying out defined tasks. The testers document their actions („thinking out loud method“) and the screen and actions are recorded in parallel. The findings are analysed and evaluated.
- In this variation, testers carry out the specified tasks in their home environment. This allows for authentic results achieved in the tester’s local environment. The findings are recorded by microphone and / or written protocol and are then evaluated.
